Gatherings at the cafe are small, typically fewer than four people, however, because of the pandemic, I ask everyone to observe a few simple rules in the interest of safety. I want my guests to feel as comfortable and safe as possible.
Open the cafe door and let yourself in.

A chime will sound to announce your presence, so I’ll know someone has arrived even if I’m not in the cafe. I don’t live in the cafe, so you’re not walking into my home. This is to provide distance.
Temperature test.

I’ll measure your temperature, with an IR thermometer, to check for fever. An IR thermometer is a hand-held device that can measure body temperature instantly, without contact. I’ve tested the device and it’s consistent with a glass thermometer.
Hand Sanitization
Hand sanitizer is provided and is located in the genkan. Please sanitize before you go in the cafe and later if needed (explained at the briefing).
Briefing
Before each session there will be a very short safety briefing, to cover mask usage and handling, coughing and sneezing protection, in the cafe.
Cooking events
There will be a limit of two participants, per event. I’m willing to repeat the event if there’s sufficient demand.
At the table
I’ve removed a chair and added a second screen. Three people can sit comfortably with separation. If the table is full when you arrive you can sit at the area at the back of the room (cafe library). Your time won’t start until you’re at the table.

If you have any questions or suggestions to improve safety, please email me. Thank you for your understanding.
